Can you recall a time when you were able to go a week without hearing about violence in schools? School safety has become not only an often politicized hot topic, but an issue that is at the heart of anyone worldwide who cares for someone under the age of 18 years old. What if we told you that the essence of creating safer schools is not spending millions on products or redesign, but instead something that can be reproducible for FREE in every school? 

Our story started around our dinner table thirteen years ago, when Heather came home after a frustrating day at school. She placed blame on how the situation unfolded in the hands of the officer who had responded to help and was fueled by anger, passion, and helplessness. John listened, patiently waiting to explain all of the reasons why the officer had taken the course of action that he did. What we realized was that these two professions have often been thrust together with little to no strategic planning. At the end of the day, the goal of both sides will always be to keep schools and students safe. But when we come from two completely different professional worlds, it takes strategic work on both sides to make this happen.
